Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has announced that the agency’s inspectors have discovered several tons of nuclear material in Syria.
According to Grossi, the materials were found at a location that Syrian authorities had reported to the organization last month.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency has emphasized that these materials will be placed under international safeguards.
Grossi said the volume of these materials is several tons and could cause concerns if used improperly.
