The Egyptian presidential office has announced that the country’s National Defense Council, headed by Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has reviewed the attacks against Saudi Arabia and stressed full solidarity with the country.
According to the Egyptian presidency, the council has emphasized providing all forms of necessary support to Saudi Arabia to defend security, stability, territorial integrity, and the protection of Islamic sanctities.
Meanwhile, Egyptian parliamentarian Mustafa Bakri said that the council had agreed to send military forces to Saudi Arabia and determine their mission to support the country, but this claim was not confirmed in the official Egyptian presidential statement.
