Kremlin: Russia, US, and China are exploring the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia, the United States and China accept the theoretical possibility of holding a trilateral meeting, but no agreement has been reached on the details of the meeting so far.
Previously, Peskov had called it useful to hold a meeting between Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit; the summit is scheduled to be held on November 18 and 19 in Shenzhen, China.
Reports indicate that Putin has proposed holding a trilateral meeting with the leaders of the United States and China to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, although no specific date or official agenda for such a meeting has been announced.
The possibility of talks on the Ukrainian war without the direct presence of representatives of Ukraine and European countries has also been raised, an issue that could raise concerns about the role of the main parties to the war in potential decision-making.
