At least 14 killed in clashes in Nigeria’s Benue state
Local authorities in Benue State in Nigeria have announced that at least 14 villagers have been killed and several others injured following a clash in the state.
Officials say the conflict is part of long-standing tensions over land and natural resources in Nigeria’s central region.
Benue State is a major hotbed of conflict between farmers and nomadic herders, and these tensions have claimed hundreds of lives in recent years.
