Aoun in a conversation with Trump called for America to play a role in preventing violations of the agreement with Israel

In a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called for Washington’s participation in preventing any breach of the Israeli regime’s commitments to the recent agreement.

According to the Axios report, the call between the two sides was about the signing of the recent agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli regime, and in this conversation, Trump congratulated Aoun on the signing of the agreement.

The Lebanese presidency announced that Aoun emphasized Beirut’s commitment to implementing the agreement in this call, while at the same time demanding that the other side ensure full implementation of its obligations.

In this conversation, Aoun also appreciated the US’s supportive role in Lebanon and the country’s official institutions.
