A United Nations Commission of Inquiry has announced in a new report that Israel continues to deliberately target Palestinian children, an action that, according to the organization, could amount to genocide, a war crime, and a crime against humanity in the Gaza Strip.
According to this report, since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023, about 30% of the victims have been children.
The United Nations has also warned that attacks on neonatal care centers, maternity hospitals, and delivery rooms pose a serious threat to the health of future generations of Palestinians.
The report states that the continuation of this situation has led to an increase in abortions, congenital abnormalities, and long-term health damage among Palestinians.
The UN Commission of Inquiry has called on the international community to take effective and immediate measures to protect civilians, especially children.
