The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Public Relations Department announced that following US drone attacks on telecommunications facilities in Qeshm and Sirik, the US “Ali Salem” air base in Kuwait and the remaining facilities of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain have been targeted by ballistic missiles from the IRGC’s Aerospace Force.
According to the statement, this morning (Saturday, June 6 ), four oil tankers, which the IRGC has called “violators”, were about to leave the Strait of Hormuz. After being warned, one of them stopped and the other vessels returned.
The IRGC has also warned that if the US attacks are repeated, subsequent responses will be more extensive and that responsibility for any possible consequences in the Strait of Hormuz will lie with the other side.
