Pakistani embassy clerk summoned to Kabul condemns attacks on civilian targets

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has summoned the clerk of the Pakistani embassy in Kabul in connection with attacks on civilian targets and public facilities along the hypothetical Durand Line.

According to the ministry, a note of protest regarding the attacks, including the targeting of a university in the center of Kunar province, was submitted to the Pakistani side during this meeting.

The press release states that the violation of Afghan airspace and attacks on civilians are strongly condemned, and that these actions are considered a clear violation of the country’s territorial integrity, contrary to international principles, and provocative.

The Foreign Ministry also rejected Pakistan’s claims that Afghanistan had initiated the violence and stressed that the roots of the situation should be thoroughly investigated.

Emphasizing the country’s legitimate right to defend itself, the ministry has called on Pakistan to refrain from repeating such actions and warned that continuing this trend could have dire consequences.
