Eight members of a family were killed and five others were injured after a gas pipeline exploded in the Hattar Industrial City of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Geo News reported that the incident occurred yesterday and resulted in a massive fire.
Shafiullah Gandapur, Haripur Police Chief, said that all the victims and injured were members of one family. Five bodies have been transferred to Kot Najibullah Hospital and three other bodies to the Trauma Center.
Police, rescue teams, rescue services, and fire departments from five different districts were dispatched to the scene and worked to contain the fire and conduct rescue operations.
