Mike Waltz, the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated in a statement that he is optimistic about reaching an agreement with Iran and that both sides are interested in such an agreement for various reasons.
“I believe we can reach some kind of agreement or deal, as Trump is suggesting, because both sides are looking for it for very different reasons,” he said.
