Trump wants to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, Israel insists on dismantling missile capability

The Israeli Radio and Television Organization reported, citing Israeli sources, that Donald Trump intends to completely destroy Iran’s nuclear program, while Israel has made dismantling Iran’s ballistic missile capability its priority.

This report was published at a time when the Zionist regime had previously repeatedly claimed that Iran was on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, and under this pretext, it has carried out attacks against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, which are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

At the same time, the Axios website quoted an American official as saying that the Trump administration has informed Iran through various channels of its readiness to meet and negotiate a new agreement.

Axios also reported, citing informed sources, that Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt are coordinating to hold a meeting in Ankara between Special Representative Steve Whittock and senior Iranian officials.

A US official added to Axios: “We don’t know if the Iranian leader will allow his diplomats to reach an agreement that is acceptable to Washington.”

On the other hand, Hebrew TV Channel 12 reported that Tel Aviv is putting extensive pressure on Washington to avoid any agreement with Tehran and to attack Iran militarily instead of negotiating.

These developments reflect the divergence of views between Washington and Tel Aviv on the approach to Iran, where Trump is focused on destroying the nuclear program and Israel is also seeking to limit its missile capabilities, while indirect diplomatic efforts through regional intermediaries continue
