At the same time, NBC quoted an American official as saying that the attacks in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm were defensive in nature and did not mean the resumption of large-scale military operations against Iran.
US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that the ceasefire with Iran is still in place despite the exchange of fire on Thursday night.
Trump has added that a deal with Iran may or may not be reached at any time, claiming that Iran wants this deal more than the United States.
He also said that some ships have changed their route through the Strait of Hormuz and headed to American ports to purchase oil, and that the United States is not facing an energy crisis.
