Trump: Kazakhstan is the first country in my new presidency to join the Abraham Accords

US President Donald Trump announced that Kazakhstan will be the first country in his new presidency to join the Abraham Accords, a peace accord with Israel, and the official signing ceremony will be announced soon.

Trump said in a statement: “Kazakhstan is the first country of my new term to join the Abraham Accords; we will announce the official signing ceremony soon.”

Meanwhile, the Kazakh President said in a message to Trump: “You are a great leader and statesman sent from heaven to restore common sense and the traditions that we all respect and value, and millions of people in different countries are grateful to you.”

The AFP described Kazakhstan’s decision as largely symbolic, noting that Kazakhstan and the Israeli regime have had official relations for 32 years and have established embassies in each other’s countries.
