The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Kabul issued a statement expressing its deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the people of Afghanistan following the recent earthquake in the north of the country.
The statement said that Saudi Arabia expresses its condolences to the brotherly nation of Afghanistan in this painful tragedy and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
Last night’s severe earthquake in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif and surrounding provinces has left more than 20 people dead, hundreds injured, and dozens of families homeless.
It is worth noting that relief and rescue operations are continuing with domestic and international assistance.
