According to the American publication National Interest, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to provoke a strong Russian response by receiving Tomahawk missiles in order to draw NATO into direct conflict in the Ukrainian war.
The publication claims that Zelensky and some officials in Brussels hope that this action will activate Article 5 of the NATO treaty and force Donald Trump to more actively involve American forces in the conflict.
