Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, has said that Moscow has received permission to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and that this aid will be provided if Kabul officially requests it.
Kabulov added in an interview with a Russian media outlet that the domestic harvest has temporarily alleviated the food crisis in Afghanistan.
He warned that Afghanistan may face food shortages again in the future.
