Trump meets with leaders of 9 Islamic countries in New York, plans for Gaza’s future after war

US President Donald Trump met with the leaders of nine Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan, on the sidelines of the annual session of the UN General Assembly in New York to discuss the future of Gaza after the war.

According to Al Jazeera, Trump presented a plan at the meeting, the main focus of which is to resolve the Gaza crisis, gradually withdraw the Israeli army from the region, and hand over security responsibility to a joint force of regional countries.

He also called on Islamic countries to allocate extensive financial assistance for the reconstruction of Gaza.

Trump described the plan as a credible path to ending the war and stabilizing Gaza, and emphasized that the United States is ready to support it diplomatically and financially.

The meeting took place as international pressure has increased to stop the Gaza war and for several Western countries to recognize Palestine.
