Eshaq Dar: Pakistan-Afghanistan relations improve
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have improved significantly.
Referring to his two recent trips to Kabul on April 19 and before, he stated that all decisions made during these trips had been implemented by June 30.
“We talked about trade, the immigrant economy, and politics, and every decision we made was implemented,” Dar added.
Pakistan’s foreign minister reiterated his country’s call for the Islamic Emirate to curb groups such as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army, saying the lack of control over these groups was unacceptable to Islamabad.
He demanded the extradition or expulsion of these groups from Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate has not yet responded to Dar’s statements, but the defense minister had earlier denied Pakistan’s claims about the TTP’s presence in Afghanistan, calling it an attempt to cover up Pakistan’s internal security weaknesses.
