Breaking of ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, US special envoy visits Beirut

According to Hebrew media reports, US special envoy Amos Hochstein announced that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has failed and requires urgent attention.

In a statement, he called Lebanon’s Hezbollah a terrorist organization and emphasized that the United States will not have any dialogue with the group.

Hochstein also considered Hezbollah’s disarmament an internal decision for Lebanon and refused to allow direct American intervention in the matter.

He traveled to Beirut yesterday to receive the Lebanese government’s official and final response to Hezbollah’s request to disarm.

The trip took place as tensions in the region continue to rise.
