Iran’s missile attack on Qatar’s Al-Udeid base destroyed US communications dome

According to informed sources, satellite images released on Friday show that Iran’s missile attack on Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, one of the most important US military bases in the region, successfully targeted and completely destroyed the geodesic dome containing secure US military communications equipment.

The attack, which was carried out in response to the US bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, caused significant damage to the base’s sensitive communications infrastructure, according to sources.

Satellite images from Planet Labs show that the dome, which was installed in 2016 at a cost of $15 million as a modern corporate terminal, was completely destroyed after the attack, with damage to surrounding buildings.

While satellite imagery analysis has questioned US claims that most of the missiles were intercepted and that the damage was minimal, a Pentagon spokesman continues to say that the ballistic missile strike on Udayd caused minimal damage and that the base remains operational.
