Al Jazeera reported that the United States could not continue the war without catastrophic consequences.
According to the report, any re-escalation of tensions could destroy oil, gas infrastructure and water desalination facilities in the region and cause a long-term global catastrophe.
Al Jazeera added that continued conflict could have widespread economic and energy consequences globally.
