Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the White House for the second time since his visit to Washington and held a two-hour meeting with Donald Trump to discuss the war in Gaza.

The meeting took place on Tuesday evening at around 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

Unlike the meeting on Monday night, when reporters had a few minutes to ask questions of Trump and Netanyahu, the meeting on Tuesday evening was held without the presence of the media, and Netanyahu left the White House without appearing in front of the cameras.

Netanyahu’s second visit to the White House coincided with statements by Steve Whittaker, Trump’s special representative for the Middle East, who said that talks in Qatar between the Hamas movement and Israel to establish a 60-day ceasefire had made some progress.
