Elon Musk, an American billionaire and former special agent in the Donald Trump administration, called the tax bill supported by the US president a “disgusting disaster.”
Trump’s big, beautiful bill, which passed the House of Representatives by a single vote last month, extends the 2017 tax cuts and increases funding for military immigration enforcement and border programs.
Musk, who recently left the Trump administration, wrote in a note on the X network: “I’m sorry, but I can’t take it anymore. This huge, horrible bill, full of unnecessary congressional privileges, is a disgusting disaster.”
He added, “Shame on those who voted for this bill; you know you did wrong; you know it yourself.”
