Napoleon’s sword sold for 4.7 million euros in Paris
A sword belonging to Napoleon Bonaparte, specially commissioned for the French emperor’s personal use, has been sold at auction in Paris for almost 4.7 million euros.
The sword, which was commissioned by Napoleon in 1802 and remained with him throughout his reign, was sold for 4.66 million euros on Thursday evening (22 of May), the auction house Dureau announced.
