NASA’s Picture of the Day shows the Milky Way arcing across the night sky above the 2.2-meter telescope at the University of Hawaii, USA. This image was captured in late February from the Monouku Observatory in Hawaii.
This beautiful and stunningly detailed image shows the Milky Way galaxy rising from the horizon and stretching across the sky.
On the right of the image, a collection of colorful clouds can be seen in the Milky Way galaxy, one of the closest star-forming regions to Earth.
