This new record was recorded after 2023, which was the warmest year before.
Part of this record-breaking warming is related to the El Niño phenomenon, which has caused an increase in the temperature of the tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean and, as a result, an increase in the global temperature.
But the main part of this warming is due to the increase in the level of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide and methane, which has caused more heat to be trapped in the earth’s atmosphere.
