The US State Department has announced its approval for the sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles to Ukraine in an arms deal estimated at $2.1 billion.
Reuters reported that Ukraine will pay for the missiles with financial assistance from Canada, Germany and Norway, as well as from a European Union government loan.
