Centcom announced the repelling of attacks by Yemeni Houthi armed forces against US Navy and commercial ships in the Gulf of Aden.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced by publishing a newsletter on X that on the 9th and 10th of December, the USS Stockdale and USS Okan destroyers of the US Navy successfully repelled a series of missile and drone attacks by the Yemeni Houthis. The crossing of the Gulf of Aden was thwarted.

The news release states that these attacks did not result in any injuries or damage to the ships of civilians or the US Navy.

Earlier, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces announced that three supply ships and two American destroyers were targeted in the Gulf of Aden.
