Putin: No one will win in a possible war between Russia and Europe
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Moscow does not want a military conflict with European countries but is prepared for such a war.
At a press conference after the Russia-Africa summit, Putin referred to statements by European officials about being prepared for war by 2030 and said: “We are ready, but we do not want any war with Europe.”
According to the TASS news agency, he added that the West has not achieved its goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia and is unlikely to achieve this goal by 2030. Putin warned that in the event of a war between Russia and Europe, neither side would win.
The Russian president also said that Moscow supports any steps to restore full relations with European countries, whether within the framework of the European Union or bilaterally.
These statements come after the British Defense Secretary had previously warned that the country must be prepared for war and victory alongside its allies, and had raised the possibility of facing threats that could attack Britain by the early 2030.
