Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has said that his country has no plans to enter into a direct military conflict with Yemen.
He added that Türkiye’s possible military support for Saudi Arabia would be within the framework of a mutual defense agreement aimed at strengthening deterrence and similar to Ankara’s military cooperation with Qatar.
According to Guler, the review of Riyadh’s requests for military aid and the determination of the scope of this support will be carried out after the agreement is approved by the Turkish parliament and legal procedures are completed.
