Researchers warn that nuclear war and artificial intelligence could threaten human survival by 2100
A group of researchers have warned in a report published in the scientific journal The Lancet that nuclear war and the destructive use of artificial intelligence, along with other global threats, could pose serious risks to human survival in the coming decades.
The report identified 17 major threats to human health, including climate change, air pollution, child malnutrition, and reduced international aid.
According to researchers, these risks are interconnected and confronting them requires global cooperation and coordinated action. They have emphasized that there are solutions to reduce each of these threats and that the decisions of current leaders can affect the health and well-being of future generations.
This assessment warns of possible future risks and does not mean a definitive prediction of human extinction by 2100.
