Some Iranian media outlets have reported that Iran fired a missile at a US warship in the waters near the Strait of Hormuz and around Jask.
According to these reports, this action was taken after the American vessel ignored repeated warnings to leave Iranian territorial waters and was hit by two missiles as a result.
A statement attributed to the Iranian military said that American destroyers turned off their radars in the Sea of Oman and intended to approach the area, and after ignoring the warnings, they were met with warning shots.
An informed source has also told the media that Iran is prepared for any scenario in the Strait of Hormuz and has emphasized controlling military traffic in this route.
