Yemeni official: Saudi-backed forces are tired of pressure to advance at all costs
A senior Yemeni official told Al-Mayadeen that Saudi officials are angry about the defeat of their backed forces in Yemen and have urged them to continue advancing at all costs.
The official said the Al-Amalqa forces were also unhappy with the heavy casualties and Saudi pressure; He claimed that in recent days, about 400 of these forces had been killed or wounded in Lahj province alone.
The official added that Saudi Arabia is trying to reduce the pressure of attacks on the country in order to advance its supported forces in Yemen; he also said that the missile capabilities of the Yemeni army and Ansar Allah, especially the size and accuracy of the missiles, have surprised Saudi officials.
According to the official, concerns in Riyadh about the war’s prolongation have increased, and some companies and investors are considering the possibility of leaving Saudi Arabia, the claims were made by a Yemeni official.
