Yemeni Ministry of Health: Women and children make up 60 percent of victims of recent Saudi attacks

Yemen’s Ministry of Health and Environment has announced that from September 3rd to the evening of October 10th, 91 people were martyred and 168 others were injured in attacks attributed to Saudi Arabia. According to the ministry, women and children make up 60 percent of the total victims.

At the same time, Yemeni sources have reported airstrikes on villages in the Bani Hatab region in Hajjah province. According to these reports, the use of cluster bombs in these attacks left three injured.

Human Rights Watch had previously documented the use of cluster bombs made by the Saudi-led coalition in various parts of Yemen, including the United States, Britain, and Brazil; the organization has also mentioned in its reports the use of these munitions in the years since the war began in 2015.
