The “Virgo Transport 8,” a passenger ship, has sunk in the Java Sea off the coast of Indonesia, leaving more than 120 people missing, one dead, and another injured.
The ship had about 243 passengers on board at the time of the accident. Initial reports say that the ship suffered a crack in its hull after hitting a storm, tilted to one side, and then sank.
Rescue forces have so far rescued 115 people, and the search operation to find the missing is still ongoing.
