Iran’s ambassador and deputy mission to the United Nations has condemned the US military attacks on several cities in southern Iran in a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council.
The letter states that on the evening of September 11, the United States attacked a residential building in the city of Kohstak in Sirik, Hormozgan Province, where a wedding ceremony was being held.
According to the Iranian official, four civilians, including a four-year-old child, were killed and more than 70 others were injured as a result of the attack.
Iran has considered this attack a clear violation of international humanitarian law and an example of a war crime, and has strongly condemned it.
