The Afghan organization “AWOC” has welcomed the introduction of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) bill for Afghan citizens in the US Senate, calling it an important step to support Afghans relocated to this country after 2021.
According to the organization’s statement, if this plan is approved, eligible Afghans will be protected from deportation until July 1, 2029, and will be able to continue working and pursue legal residency in the United States.
