The United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) has announced that 18 American soldiers have been killed and 624 others injured since the start of the conflict with Iran on February 28.
The Pentagon also added that four American soldiers were killed and 140 others were injured in recent Iranian attacks.
Meanwhile, some sources and observers claim that Washington is trying to hide the true extent of its military casualties by restricting the release of information.
Previously, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, spokesman for the Revolutionary Guards, had announced that the number of American forces killed after violating the memorandum of understanding was more than 200; a claim that has not yet been confirmed by independent sources.
