6.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Japan’s Honshu island
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center has announced that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale has struck off the coast of the Japanese island of Honshu.
According to the report, the earthquake was recorded 76 kilometers southeast of the city of Hachinohe, with a population of more than 230,000, at a depth of 32 kilometers.
As of the time of publication, no official report has been released on possible casualties or damage caused by this earthquake.
