The Hebrew newspaper Yisrael Hayom reported that the US military has begun construction of a large base along the barrier fence surrounding the Gaza Strip, near the Ra’im base.
According to this report, this base is to be used as a military and civilian center for the deployment of international institutions and forces.
The media outlet has claimed that the new base will be established within the framework of implementing what is called the “Trump plan,” and that international forces and institutions will use this center for their activities in the region.
It has also been said that this base will replace the former multinational headquarters in the Kiryat Gat area and will play an important role in coordinating international activities around the Gaza Strip.
So far, American and Israeli officials have not officially commented on this report and its details.
