British Parliament: Leak of 25,000 Afghans was the result of systematic failure

The British Parliament’s Defense Committee has announced that the leak of personal information of about 25,000 Afghan applicants for resettlement in the country was due to a “foreseeable systemic failure.”

According to the Financial Times, the committee has accused the British Ministry of Defense of weaknesses in protecting information, lack of accountability, and secrecy in the management of the event.

The Defence Committee has called on the British government to strengthen the protection of sensitive information, speed up the transfer of eligible Afghans, and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
