On the second day of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized the need to reform the United Nations Security Council.
Araqchi said that reforming the Security Council is not a choice but a necessity for the survival of the United Nations.
He added that the Security Council must have real representation from all continents and regions of the world, and power must be distributed in it based on accountability and justice, not in service of the interests of some aggressor and abusive powers.
