Trump’s renewed attempt to force Iran to negotiate with threats

On Tuesday morning (21th of April) in an interview with the “John” Fredericks radio program, US President Donald Trump claimed that if Iran does not come to the negotiating table, there will be problems for the country.

In response, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, emphasized that they do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats and reject this approach.

Qalibaf said that the other side, by applying pressure and violating the ceasefire, is trying to turn the negotiations into a “surrender table” or to pave the way for renewed hostilities.

He added that Iran has been preparing to play new cards on the battlefield in the past two weeks.
