Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has announced that the organization’s access to Iran’s nuclear facilities depends on the progress of negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
In an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Grossi said that the organization has not yet been able to access these facilities, and this issue is largely related to the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States regarding the memorandum of understanding.
He also referred to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, claiming that in this agreement, the International Atomic Energy Agency has been entrusted with the examination and monitoring of issues related to nuclear materials.
The organization’s director general added that the exact time when the organization’s inspectors will have access to Iran’s nuclear facilities is still unknown, but he expressed hope that this process will not take long.
