Iranian media reported that the country’s forces launched drones at US warships after attacking an Iranian merchant ship in the Sea of Oman.
Hours ago, American military personnel attacked an Iranian container ship called “Tusca” that was en route from China to Iran in the Gulf of Oman.
After this attack, Iranian forces responded with drones targeting some American military ships.
Donald Trump claimed an hour ago that American forces had seized the ship.
Iran had previously announced that it would retaliate against any American action.
Simultaneously with the announcement of the US naval blockade of Iran, Iran has also completely closed the Strait of Hormuz, and any ship or tanker that passes through the region without Iranian permission will be punished by Iranian forces.
The New York Times reported, citing an American official, that US naval forces searched the Iranian ship “Tuska”.
In response to this action, the spokesman for the Central Military Headquarters of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) warned that the aggressor America violated the ceasefire and committed maritime piracy by firing at an Iranian merchant ship in the waters of the Sea of Oman and disabling its navigation system by landing a number of its marines on the ship’s deck.
He added that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond and retaliate against this armed piracy by the US military.
