American media reported this morning (16th of April ) that a fire broke out on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower, which belongs to the country’s Navy.
US Navy media reported that the ship caught fire while undergoing routine repairs and inspections off the coast of Virginia.
At least eight American soldiers were injured in the incident, which occurred at the Norfolk Naval Base in Portsmouth.
The exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the Eisenhower aircraft carrier have not yet been announced.
