US approves $185 million arms sale to Ukraine
The United States has agreed to sell Ukraine a new arms package worth $185 million, including equipment and ammunition to bolster the defense capabilities of Ukrainian forces against Russian advances.
At the same time, Reuters reported that the Trump administration is seeking to reach a peace agreement in Ukraine by March, after which it has put on the agenda the holding of immediate general elections in Ukraine.
This approach reflects Washington’s attempt to combine short-term military support with diplomatic pressure to quickly end the war and create new political conditions in Kiev.
