Zabihullah Mujahid: Security Council’s concerns about threats from Afghanistan are unfounded

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, called the concerns raised in the UN Security Council about threats from Afghanistan’s territory completely baseless.

Mujahid emphasized that some countries are taking advantage of the absence of Afghan representatives in Security Council meetings and are trying to create anxiety and concern by spreading propaganda and false information.

“We assure you that Afghanistan is safe, there are no foreign and arbitrary groups here. The phenomenon of ISIS, which has been defeated in Afghanistan, has unfortunately nested in our neighborhood,” he said. “When we say that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against anyone, it means that no one should worry.
