Kandahar pomegranate exports increased by 32 percent

According to a report by National Television, Kandahar Province’s pomegranate exports abroad have increased by 32 percent this year compared to last year.

The Kandahar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock announced that this year, nearly 22,000 tons of pomegranates from the province have been exported to foreign countries, while last year this figure was only 7,000 tons.

According to the information of this department, the largest amount of Kandahar pomegranate exports have been to Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
