US revokes Colombian President’s visa in response to Petro’s remarks at pro-Palestine rally

The US State Department announced that the visa of Colombian President Gustavo y Petro will be revoked due to his reckless and provocative behavior in New York.

The decision came after Petro spoke at a pro-Palestine rally outside the United Nations headquarters, where he called on American soldiers to ignore the orders of US President Donald Trump and follow the dictates of humanity.

He also accused Trump of complicity in the Gaza genocide and called for his criminal trial.

The US State Department wrote in a post on X Network: “Today, the President of Colombia stood on the streets of New York and called on American soldiers to disobey orders and incite violence; we will revoke Petro’s visa for his reckless and provocative actions.”

Reports indicate that Petro is returning to Bogota and his office has not yet made an official response.
